Western Union® Money TransferSM services was provided in Macedonia since September 1999, through International Financial Union (IFU),  branch of Financial Union Tirana. IFU extended its network all over Macedonia during the years. At the end of 2003, IFU counted 28 Agent Locations in its network.

Financial Union Skopje (FUS), successor of International Financial Union was created in January 2004, and licensed in August 2004, from the Macedonian National Bank, as non-bank financial institution that offers “Quick Money Transfers” services. FUS signed representative agreement with WESTERN UNION NETWORK, a global leader at quick money transfer services, with more than 150 years experience.

Today, Western Union continues to help the customers and businesses to transfer money or to make payments, using “money orders” and other electronic systems. Customers can use Western Union® Money TransferSM services easy and quick  in more than 350.000 Western Union Agent Locations, worldwide.

Network and Extension

FUS has a wide network in Macedonia, with more than 200 Agent Locations at 29 cities. As the  result of FUS strategy, the network will be extended more in the future, in order to cover physically all the geographic zone of Macedonia.

Most of Western Union Locations, have a combination of above mentioned services. All Locations are positioned in evident and adequate place such as: downtown, main streets and trade centres.

To achieve the highest level of service quality and quickness, all Western Union Locations are equipped with computer, fax, photocopies and other necessary equipments for their daily activities. The most considerable part or FUS network, has establish experience. FUS organize regularly training sessions with all Western Union operators in Macedonia. FUS operators with quality and experience give a great advantage in “quick money transfer” market.
